It is quite astonishing at the rate of growth at this privately-owned Arizona zoo, as during the past few years all 4 aquarium buildings and the second entrance (the brown-coloured structures on the far left) have been constructed. Plus Dragon World (bright blue) was built on the far right, and just last month the entire top section (Safari Park) made its public debut. The full name of "Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium & Safari Park" just might be the most cumbersome in North America!
Yes, I suppose that is the advantage of being a private, for profit corporation. When the owner wants to build something, he just builds it. Private non-profit zoos have to go through board member approval and public (government) zoos have to go through city council approval (or state legislature if they are state owned).
