Asiatic Black Bear. Even if I didn't realise it at the time, the bear dens were brutally stark and the animals' sleeping quarters were worse. The tragedy is that thirty years ago knocking them into one or two larger enclosures for (say) Sun Bears could have been done quickly and cheaply.
