I miss when their enclosure (assuming that they are still in the aviary by the restaurant) held egrets. It feels way too small for such a massive stork.
Not sure, as I haven't been to one in a while, but to my knowledge, most of the species used in flight displays are kept off-show just north of the onshow zoo.
At one point, quite a lot of it was on-display, but now, all that remains is Owl Wood, housing just three or four species. I recall reading Gerald Durrell's book about working at Whipsnade, 'Beasts in my Belfry,' and he notes that at one point the zoo's pheasant collection was quite remarkable. But now, barring Edward's Pheasants in Owl Wood, I don't believe there are any onshow in the entire zoo.
@Prochilodus246 Have the Edward's Pheasants now moved, as I could have sworn which I saw some on my visit in May? I plan to visit again in October so will ensure to check if they are still present then...
Edit: I see now that your visit was less recent than mine, so hopefully that suggests that the pheasants are still present.
