Welcome to another round of NAME THAT BIRD!

Can anyone beat Chlidonias???

These are probably reasonably easy to ID, and I should be able to work them out... but I can\'t.

Photo taken at The Parrot Place, January 2010. Its a private bird collection, which focuses on parrots, hence the name. Has a few finches and quails as well. Quite nice, in the subtropical north of New Zealand, and they have several friendly birds to interact with too, including a Scarlet Macaw (Elmo) which climbs all over people.

maroon-bellied conure (Pyrrhura frontalis). Doesn't this place have signage?

Thanks Chlidonias :D

Yes they do have signage, some of it quite reasonable. Certainly better than Wellington Zoo for some species, although that is not difficult to achieve.

I did identify most of my photos from signage photos, and then books, but these three stumped me. I wouldnt have bothered taking a picture of the King Parrot sign, as I know that bird very well... or so I thought. The Marron-bellied Conure wasnt in a cage, was being handed around, and they probably did tell me the species, but I had forgotten. And I have no idea why I didnt take a photo of the sign on the Peach-fronted Conure cage.
