These are probably reasonably easy to ID, and I should be able to work them out... but I can\'t.
Photo taken at The Parrot Place, January 2010. Its a private bird collection, which focuses on parrots, hence the name. Has a few finches and quails as well. Quite nice, in the subtropical north of New Zealand, and they have several friendly birds to interact with too, including a Scarlet Macaw (Elmo) which climbs all over people.
Yes they do have signage, some of it quite reasonable. Certainly better than Wellington Zoo for some species, although that is not difficult to achieve.
I did identify most of my photos from signage photos, and then books, but these three stumped me. I wouldnt have bothered taking a picture of the King Parrot sign, as I know that bird very well... or so I thought. The Marron-bellied Conure wasnt in a cage, was being handed around, and they probably did tell me the species, but I had forgotten. And I have no idea why I didnt take a photo of the sign on the Peach-fronted Conure cage.
