All of the species in the "potential collection plan" make sense except for the last one. I don't think Andean condors live in the rainforest, do they?
@Arizona Docent They don’t; Andean condors are a montane species. I’m sure they included them because they are a marquee animal from the same continent and because they are a species currently at the zoo.
@BenFoxster The Baird's tapirs and giant otters will stay. The current Rainforest exhibit is the whole right side (it's mostly unlabeled here) and will remain pretty much as is, except for the addition of a King Vulture aviary. It's the left side with all the labels and lines that will be redeveloped.
The Mountain Tapirs might not be accounted for in the plan, but this part of the master plan is well off in the future and the tapirs aren't being bred - so they may likely pass on by the time this plan comes to fruition anyway.
