Matschie's Tree Kangaroo Exhibit

I find it father strange to see an animal like a tree kangaroo being displayed in such type of exhibit.

Another strange thing is that this is the only mammal exhibit in what is the zoo's Reptile House ("Day Exhibit"), and up until a few years ago it held golden lion tamarins. A male tree kangaroo is on exhibit, and there was a baby born this year and the mother and joey are permanently off-exhibit.

It reminds me of how many northern hemisphere zoos choose to display koalas as well.
