This will eventually be demolished to make way for Elephant Trek. Originally it was planned as a gibbon island, but later changed to what I imagine will be footpaths to the elephant barn.
I wonder if by the time they get started on these proposed footpaths for Elephant Trek; then perhaps the zoo can simply relocate the wallabies to the main kangaroo area in Roo Valley. If that is the case, then I believe it would not only bring in a new species for that particular complex. But that it may also be a good size comparison to the larger kangaroos that the zoo already has in that said space, mainly if this idea ever makes any further development.
 
What used to be here? I thought it was a weird as heck way to keep wallabies.
 
@TinoPup Not sure why they were chosen to take up the space but I see them as a great temporary solution to habitat that would have been empty for at most a couple of years.
