I recall this entrance to be quite impressive for an otherwise fairly obscure zoo that few ZooChatters visit. The whole entrance complex (2008), Amazonia (2008) and Penguins of Patagonia (2021) combine to give Mesker Park Zoo a very strong area that visitors see first, but as one goes deeper into the zoo then there's a lot of older, more outdated exhibits. Would that be a fair assessment? (I visited in 2010)
@snowleopard You literally wrote what my future script would say. Starts you off in modern times, then takes you back to the 1930's nearly the rest of the way. I can't say that I enjoyed it very much, and of the 59 wildlife institutions I've been to, I put it around 47th on my recommendations list.
