July 2008. This temple is at the end of the exhibit, I have been told that Jaguar Jungle is rather incomplete due to the death of its benefactor...the exhibit area had been built in stages as the funds came in from that individual.

The Jaguar Jungle looks like one of the best themed exhibit in North America. How does it compare to "Range of the Jaguar" in Jacksonville Zoo?
Audubon's exhibit is older...thus more lush in the horticulture department. The exhibit is traveled via a trail that winds through the area, has thick vegetated buffers between exhibits and really puts you in a forest. Jax's is bascially a large plaza with exhibits around it....its a lot easier to feel lost at Audubon's Neotropical exhibit than Jax's.
Could have sworn there were iguanas on the ruins when I visited Audubon. Perhaps it was an exhibit in JJ with similar but different structures. I also agree that it's a pretty good set of exhibits as far as immersion and theming go.
