The 2008 book "America's Best Zoos" says that this meerkat exhibit "may be the nation's best display of these crowd-pleasing creatures". The enclosure is huge, filled with digging opportunities, and kids flock to it like bees to honey. There are plenty of very good meerkat exhibits in American zoos, but much like everything else at Nashville Zoo this one really stands out as being truly great.
