Pretty little thing, isn't she? I hope maybe she will have a companion playmate sometime soon, though there seems a delay/problem with either of the other 2 females here getting pregnant.
I believe the other females may have been contracepted for a while. If that is correct there's always a danger of reduced/delayed fertility afterward and I'm wondering if this is why Njema and Kena have not become pregnant yet. A recent press item mentions they are puzzled why Njema hasn't become pregnant- but there is no mention of contraception having been used previously.
Great photo. With black animals that have dark eyes, such as gorillas and black bears, it is really difficult to get a good photo where they eyes show up. You have definitely nailed it here!
