Thank you for uploading so many brand-new photos of the latest development at Akron Zoo. I visited the zoo in 2010 and while there was not a single terrible exhibit I found that even the excellent enclosures were all a tad on the small side. My main complaint was that time and time again the exhibits could have been a bit bigger and not so cramped for the occupants. Judging from these photos it seems as if Grizzly Ridge might well be the best part of the zoo, with many potentially top-quality exhibits. At the moment many of them appear a little on the bare side, but in a few years the trees that are often bordering fence-lines will obscure non-natural elements in the background. One terrific aspect of the new complex are all of the rustic-looking buildings and the attention to detail with many of the signs and entrance gate blending into one cohesive whole. The species list is also impressive (grizzly bear, red wolf, coyote, river otter, bald eagle) and there are many other bird species and educational animals as well.
