This was my first attempt at photographing the Milky Way (the star cluster, not the candy bar, which I am happy to report I have never photographed or even eaten). I have never really seen the Milky Way before, although it may be more correct to assume I have seen it but never really noticed it or known I was looking at it. I happened to hear a passing visitor point it out to her friend. Of course it is much more faint to the naked eye than it appears here. A high ISO on the camera brings it out more and then post processing in the computer further enhances it.
