Misc exhibits in the 70's

Various exhibits in the 70's monkey island with howlers
This actually a Woolly Monkey.

This is the original Monkey Island built across from the flamingos. It was the second exhibit built by Rock & Waterscapes at the zoo. Flamingo was the first. The original woolly monkeys came from England and were a breeding group. Part of the group went to the Louisville Zoo and the rest came to LA. They bred in both facilities and once the breeding male at LA passed, the rest of the group went to Louisville. Ring tailed lemurs were on the island for a short while.
