@DavidBrown It is possible, though currently not likely. I personally think we will have platypus in Europe in 10-15 years. But I would think Copenhagen (followed by Prague and Pairi Daiza) are the most likely zoos. The new queen of Denmark is a Tasmanian native and in the past 20 years (when she was "just" a princess) there have already been plenty of animals that have found their way from Australia to Copenhagen. IIRC the only Tasmanian devils outside of Australia in the 21st century were a wedding gift, so platypus would be a nice coronation gift
