Lovely critters. A keeper came up to talk to me while I was taking photos to comment on the good view of the young 'un - they seem very proud of the youngster (and with good reason - there are very few places breeding these).
How long have Twycross had this species? I remember reading on a thread that they kept an amazing array of marsupials at one point, imported then shared with Blackpool if I recall correctly. Only asking because I've never seen them and I've visited Twycross numerous times. Also where are they housed?
That may be why I've missed them, haven't been down the "green mile" for quite a while. It's just to depressing.
Great photo by the way and thanks for the info!
Between the enclosure quality in that run and my own lack of particular interest in apes (particularly chimps) I generally march straight past the chimps with barely a glance to get to these guys!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who isn't over keen on chimps, there's something just too human and therefore malicious about them.
I know I'm not the only one who's not keen on the chimps version of death row though...
