If one were to accept Puma concolor missoulensis as valid, it would not be the Missouri Cougar. It would be the Missoula Cougar. Missoula is a valley in Montana, in the northwestern United States, a fair distance from Missouri.

@Ituri I only went by what it said on Zootierliste here. The English version there says Missouri cougar, the German version actually has the more correct "Montana puma".

I have in fact heard about Missoula, Montana as I watch the YouTube channel SciShow and related channels that are made there, but I didn't think about the name.

According to sources cited on Wikipedia, the missoulensis subspecies is likely not valid anyway, an missoulensis would probably be included in Puma concolor cougar.

I made the decision hence to remove the subspecies and just put general unspecified mountain lion, which is correct although not complete.
