Ochotona thibetana, photo in Ganzi, Sichuan.
We have never had so many photos of pikas on Zoochat before!!

Do you know which species of pika is at Wanglang Nature Reserve? I saw a little one there which I think was probably a Moupin pika but I didn't get a photo and wasn't sure which species were there.

I can't find their species-list. The several small-grey pikas in China is hard to identify :(

Amazing picture! How far away were you from this little guy? The 2 times I've seen pika (once in the wild and once in a zoo) they were extremely skittish. When I saw them at the Minnesota Zoo they would scamper off just from hearing my camera shutter click. Eventually I had to resort to using my iPhone to take photos since you can turn off the sound. (Is that an advertisement for iPhones or what!?)

@Giant Eland Sorry for the late reply, as I have just discoverd your question...... The pika is not afraid of human beings, because local Tibetans never hurt wild animals. Thus I used a macro lens to take this pic and the lens almost touched its nose :)
