Nice photo. Cant wait for people to start catching them in their new digs.

There's a chance you might get lucky. It would all depend on how they are adjusting. For Mstari its probably a cool little adventure. For Twiga its probably a little scary because she has never left her old exhibit before. She was born in that exhibit and its been her home for I think 24 years now. Plus she has the stress of being the sole adult with a young calf. Sure no lions are going to eat them but its probably still stressful for her.

Hopefully by next spring they will have some herd mates or exhibit mates. Stupid need for accreditation.

OMG we hope they will bring more giraffes to the zoo :)))) that would be so cool :)

Right now the whole giraffe situation hinges on getting back into the AZA. We were offered two different males in last years SSP but because the zoo isnt accredited other zoos have been rejecting recommendations. The other zoos have their own policies when it comes to non AZA zoos and with the zoo being out for 2 years now and it possibly losing the little wiggle room they offer to fix things and reapply before cutting all ties if things dont change by years end, many zoos have been increasingly rejecting dealing with the zoo. It's why we dont have more giraffes right now, its why it took awhile to find new white rhinos, its why we are having trouble getting new clouded leopards, and more we probably dont know about. Im hoping the city agrees to stay out of animal affairs and the zoo can reapply and be re accredited quickly. If that happens I could see the zoo getting a big influx of animals in 2015.

Wow fingers crossed by 2015 they will get new animals :)))

It all hinges on the city doing what the AZA wants to let us back in and since these are the same ****** who voted against the keepers on the elephant issue and recommended in the last several months the zoo create an animal advisory panel that included anti zoo groups I have some very real and well founded doubts. I would love to be hopeful but these are the same people who allow Rob Ford to stay in office.
