I would go with the domestic form of the White-rumped Munia, usually known as the Society Finch or Bengalese Finch.

Yeah, look like Bengalese to me.

I haven't seen a Bengalese for years. I've never even seen this "natural" colour form in NZ - all the ones I've seen here are other colour mutations.

The one on the right doesn't really look like the natural colour form, it seems like a much paler brown.

@Chlidonias There's been a move to recreate the natural colour form in some Avicultural circles I think. But alongside that there are many and increasing colour morphs too nowadays- blues, silvers, pieds, whites, laced, fawn, crested, very dark etc. These would definately be 'domestic' bengalese at Twycross.
