Oh wow! When did Akron Zoo get Siberian musk deer (Moschus moschiferus), and where did those animals come from?

They got them earlier this year. They just went out on exhibit recently. The zoo's remaining Sika deer has been retired and lives in a newly renovated area behind the Wild Prairie barn. They renovated the exhibit and have added red-breasted geese in the exhibit as well. There has not been a formal announcement yet. I think they might be waiting for them to adjust and field trip season to end. I am not sure where they are from. I know from what AZA Ungulates has posted that the zoo is now the 5th member of the SSP. If I get more info, I will put it on the Akron Zoo 2018 News forum.
