Interesting collection of photographs it makes me wonder why people in the UK give Dudley such a bad time about the tecton enclosures when they are 2 or even 3 times bigger then the ones here
I was under the impression from some members on this site that Dudley Zoo was the only zoo in the world with a few bad enclosures.
Imust admit there are a few but by the looks of these photographs there are also a few here and no comments from other members.
the bioparco in rome was like this before, see the change now. International pressure was important in changing that zoo. maybe needed for napoles, too.
Without wishing to comment on the intricacies or validity of individual exhibits, I would like to thank our honorable friend for putting up photographic material of the Zoo di Napoli.

Then let this member of the site give you another impression - there are lots of zoos with a few bad enclosures, and lots of zoos full of bad enclosures.
Rome Zoo's enclosures for Brown Bears used to be far worse than this- they were tiny little cages and the bears could hardly turn around- worst I have seen anywhere.
