This museum opened in 2012. It contains galleries and exhibits interpreting the prehistory of Utah including dinosaurs and other paleo-life and geology. There are also exhibits on the American Indian cultures of Utah and the ecological systems of the region.

The architecture of the building is striking, with lots of glass (the norm these days) but a low-relief style that blends in well with the desert-like backdrop. David, thanks for uploading photos of this facility and in particular I find it fascinating to see the dinosaur bones underneath glass on the floor of one of the galleries.

Yes, the architecture is striking. The inside hall is designed to resemble a canyon-scape. It is a "green building" with a "green roof" like the California Academy of Sciences. The roof is planted with native vegetation.
 
That architecture looks very similar to our local Audobon Center in Dallas.
