Nesting Black-Necked Crane

Northern Ponds: Black-Necked Crane nesting. June 22, 2017. I'd say it's likely this animal is simply being used as a surrogate for another species' eggs as the zoo only has one crane (though Prospect Park keeps a second of the opposite sex so perhaps it was moved to Bronx).
