New Aquarium

Is the plant with green and white in the background real? It and the plant in the background in the far left are Dracaena which do not survive being submerged, though they do grow well with only part of the bottom being submerged, and the top half being out of the water.

it is real. How would you suggest I address that problem as the plant’s not tall enough to reach the surface and I haven’t found a way for it to float

@MOG2012 If you have a hang-on back filter you can stick them in there, or you could buy or make a hanging/suctioned plant holder which can go on the side of the tank. If you can't do this in time you could always put them in a separate vase or jar, they will probably last a while longer submerged.

I moved them into my filter, so they stick out but they are in water. Will this cause any effects to the water of my aquarium?

Only one of them is dracaena. The other one is bamboo ( back left). I moved both of them

@MOG2012 Fun fact, both are Dracaenas! Lucky Bamboo isn't a true bamboo species. As long as the leaves are above the water you should avoid any ill effects on the water, they'll actually.contribute to your filtration.

I'd suggest adding more plants to provide clutter for your Dwarf frogs. You can try low maintenance plants such as Cryptocoryne, Vallisneria, Hydrilla, etc.

I also would've added some aquarium soil and some outdoor muck before you added the gravel, now there's a chance the plants won't do all that well.
