The former Kune Kune pig pen has been converted for mongooses - meaning that the former Children's Farm is now entirely given over to small mammals - Black-tailed Prairie Marmots, Meerkats, Crested Porcupines and Banded Mongooses

A very plain, half-empty enclosure...but mongooses are like meerkats and often extremely active and popular with zoo visitors.
 
Snowleopard, surely this provides for a mongoose's needs well though? They live in dry, often sandy terrain, they have climbing oppurtunities, space to hide food to encourage foraging etc

It could do with a little more planting though unless this is out of shot...
 
This enclosure is now home to the Dwarf Mongooses; the only Bandeds on show now are those in with the warthogs.
