New born sitatunga calf 1

Still wet, but trying to stand for the first time.

Did you see the calf being born? This is one of the most amazing pictures I have seen in a long time!

SMR and I spotted it lying on the ground as we approached the paddock. This can only have been a few minutes after it was born. As you can see it was still wet and we had to wait a little while before it tried to stand to take photos, as shown above.
