New Cedar House Banner - 16/08/2011

The new replacement for the award-winning history banner along the south west side of Cedar House.

This banner focusses on environmental issues both outside and inside the zoo (palm oil production, sustainability etc).

A home for the old history banner hasn't yet been determined.

Me and AG saw this on Sunday, and I must say we were both shocked and somewhat upset that the old banners had been replaced by these. So much fascinating information on the history banners, and we decided it was much more interesting to learn about certain historical events than it is to find out that the zoo has solar panels and renewable energy - as a C21 zoo it's goes without saying that they do all of these environmental things.

Still, I may change my mind when I have time to stop and read it in full. Ah well, each to their own I suppose
