The imaginary forest is hilarious but otherwise this is a massive improvement on all fronts..!

(though it's weird to me that the name 'Islands' doesn't appear anywhere on the map..! Feels like the Pink Zone should at least be subtitled )

When is Heart of Africa expected to be finished, early or late 2025?

@SivatheriumGuy It's been stated in various places as 'Spring' or occasionally 'Easter' (such as here: Chester Zoo Fundraising Gala 2024 | Pre-opening visit to 'Heart of Africa' | Powered by Givergy).

I would think it's the classic UK zoo plan of aim for the schools' Easter break, then worst-case if it's a bit late it's ready for the summer holidays.

Well done Chester, and I am sad that the Islands are replaced with the 'Pink Zone'. Nice way to go!

I am really impressed with this new Chester Zoo map and it is so much easier to look at compared to the former cartoony style over the past 10 or so years. I can't wait to see this map again when Heart of Africa is complete next year.

I have noticed the Philippines Spotted Deer are not on this map in their new enclosure, also none of the monkeys that are opposite the Camel/Onager enclosure.
