New Guinea Singing Dog

I will never understand why an increasing number of accredited zoos are wasting cage space on a domestic animal turned feral.

Probably because a whole generation has grown up that hasn't seen Dingoes. Personally, I agree with you - give me Bush Dogs or Dholes any day of the week.

Only possible exception I could envision with NGSD is as an education outreach animal.

they are both getting very old arn't they? they were there when i was in my first year of high school, around 2004.

Same thing for dromedary camels or banteng (most are from domesticated stock) or bactrain camels. However, New Guinea Singing Dogs have become just as important to the ecosystem in New Guinea than the dingo in Australia.
