The brand-new map omits the old entrance and gift shop (even though the shop is currently still open) to the left of the Pacific Canada area. The new map has Theatre Entry where the kiddie zone Clownfish Cove used to be. Clownfish Cove is now situated in the dolphin underwater viewing section. The aquarium has been undergoing quite a bit of construction, as a new entrance and gift shop are already operational and the West Plaza next to Canada's Arctic opens soon. During the next two years there will be construction on the entire Wild Coast/Canada's Arctic area, enhancing the pools for the marine mammals.
The buzz from fellow visitors is that the old map was better, as there was about 20 tiny icons of animals that made it much easier to locate specific critters. For example, on the old map it is easy to locate the crocodilians due to a tiny drawing of a caiman but on the new map the average visitor will have no clue where they are.
