New Overlook

Life On The Rocks is directly behind me to right. This new overlook, made of mesquite (very cool looking), also provides a shortcut from mountain habitat (wolves etc) to desert loop (coyotes etc). A very handy path to have - one of their best recent improvements.

There was construction on this last August when I visited the ASDM, and are there more than one of the "treehouses"? Is the lookout quite effective for peering into the desert landscape, and can the javelinas be seen from it or are they too far away?

There is only one and the view of the desert and mountains in the far distance is fantastic! I took a shot later on at sunset with my "real camera" (slide film) that I am having scanned and will post next week. It is from the vantage of the treehouse looking out.

Javelinas are too far away and down the hill - blocked by foliage. However, I think you can just barely see the coyotes in the distance from up there.
