new porcupine exhibit

May 6, 2019
The exhibit itself is not new, it has just never held a porcupine before. The porcupine was recently moved from its previous home in Small Cat Canyon. This exhibit connects to the mountain lion exhibit (viewed through the rear fencing). For decades this was an exhibit for thick-billed parrots. In recent years the exhibit has been empty and zoo staff informed me they no longer have thick-billed parrots.
