New Tamarin Exhibits - Wellington Zoo

I hope, but doubt, the terrible colours are just an undercoat. The huts appear to be the viwing areas, with the tamarins (presumably Emporer Tamarins and Pygmy Marmosets) kept in an aviary, which comes right to the front of the huts, you can see a beam running across the top there. Mostly obscured behind the righthand hut is the Kea exhibit, which will presumably go when the Kea move into the 'Meet the Locals' development. On the extreme right is the Black and White Ruffed Lemur aviary, which probably also needs to be bowled in the future.

I was just at the zoo today and this exhibit is now complete. All I can say is that it is just plain bizarre. I'll upload some photos later which hopefully will illustrate that point better.

Basically the centre hut is a viewing area with glass windows into the cage, and the two huts at either end are indoor shelters for the monkeys.
