Being approximately a third of an acre in size makes this a rather spacious orangutan exhibit, but the vast lawn takes away from any kind of forest environment. I like the idea of the apes going over the heads of visitors (that configuration is seen in another photo) but are all the trees connected via cables or are some fake trees stand-alone climbing structures? Dublin Zoo has had a great recent track record with new exhibits, and a much-improved annual attendance of a million visitors, but this orangutan enclosure doesn't seem as impressive as it could have been. Why not have all of the trees connected via a high-wire act of cables? Also, have the Siamangs been introduced yet?
