I assume this happened during transport from Africa, their spine was twisted in a weird way and it was almost swimming sideways. He was still just as good a swimmer as the other crocs though, and didn't seem to have any other health issues
I've seen captive nile crocodiles with this deformity before. Maybe this could be quite common in individuals outside of the natural environment for some motive...
