@Rajang-GOAT Yes there is the Ankole cattle enclosure (that runs the whole side on the way down the river edge and the house is at the top so you probably saw them), then as you turn the corner, Lechwe and Sitatunga and then Nyala in an L shaped space. There are also a couple of other unsigned enclosures on the right hand side which had sheep in on my first visit but haven't seen since and which have staff only path signs.
There's some local nature education information in a shelter and on the way back around some wild bat boxes and information on the bats.
@Lafone Thanks for clarifying, I might prioritise seeing those 3 species and doing that section of the zoo first whenever I next visit. You were right in assuming I saw the Ankole cattle (both), that was walking from the end of the lake loop back towards zebra/blesbok and rhino house.
@Rajang-GOAT It’s a nice bit of the zoo very quiet and there’s some native species to see along the river etc. Worth a wander around but plenty of time on your next trip!
