The highlight for me (although not really a highlight as I've seen them before) was the Thorny Devils. And I suppose the Mala, because I didn't know they had any. The Western Quoll wasd not visible, but that would have been as highlight too otherwise.
I should point out that this Nocturnal House is very dark, and the only reason it looks bright is because of the 1600 ISO and 1 second exposure.
It is the 2nd best nocturnal house that I've ever seen (behind Omaha) and some of the species highlights include: thorny devil, Lake Eyre dragon, desert skink and spinifex legless lizard are 4 species that are found at perhaps no other single zoo on the entire planet. Plus there are more delights to be found: rufous hare wallaby, greater stick-nest rat, western quoll, kultarr and many other reptiles and mammals in spacious, brilliantly-designed exhibits.
