This legendary exhibit ("Bear Mountain") opened in 1918 and was hailed as one of the great zoo habitats of the world. From Polar Bears to Grizzly Bears to California Sea Lions to Coatis and now North American Porcupines...the timeline shows that the animals got smaller but the enclosure (which was renovated and restored in the late 1980s) has hardly changed in 105 years.
