northern green tree phyton (morelia azurea) - museum komodo

This is a different species, the northern green tree python (Morelia azurea), to be exact the subspecies morelia azurea pulcher from the island of Yapen. Notice the blue spotting, which are special for these northern species.

Jagat Satwa has already done a good job of differentiating the two species.
