The only merit I have in this is searching Internet to find about the RPPN Feliciano Miguel Abdala and driving until there !
On the site, scientific assistant take you to the forest for the day and odds are quite good you will meet a group of muriquis!
That the sad story of the Northern muriqui, being enclaved in small patches of forest, densities may be quite high where they're protected. On top of that the're studied for more than 30 years now I think so they are not afraid of humans and local people know quite a lot about their habits.
@Therabu
Wow, such a great opportunity inside my own state that I had no idea. Indeed the northern muriquis are each time more stuck in small fragments of forest. Awesome pictures you've been posting, extraordinary species, specially this one.
@David Matos Mendes Do not hesitate to visit if you can, the money help the program and during this pandemic period, international tourism must have drastically fall.
