This specimen is labelled as Notelops brama at Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. I've photographed it too. Various photos of this specimen appear under the Google search for Notelops brama. But Notelops brama was an Elopidae, related with modern ladyfish. Several other images of a very different fossil fish appear in Google under Notelops brama. This different fish have a two-lobed caudal fin, more slender caudal peduncle and much smaller scales, amongst other differences. I discovered this error by photographing a fossil of Notelops brama at American Museum of Natural History and finding how different was to my photo of the Belgian Institute specimen. I believe that the true Notelops brama is the other (more similar to modern ladyfish), and not this big-scaled, fan-tailed one. It would be worth to communicate it to the Belgian Institute?
"false" Notelops brama at Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences:
"true" Notelops brama at American Museum of Natural History. Notice the much smaller scales in dorsum. This specimen have no remains of caudal fin, but in Google Images other specimens have a bilobulated caudal fin such as in Elops.
