Also, I thought the enclosure on the right was split in two for giant tortoise and albino alligator. Or is this not the same room that used to be ASCO, dwarf crocodile, and lorikeets? If it is, what's the current set-up?

The current set up is exactly how you see it now. The right exhbit was never once split up for a Tortoise and an Alligator. This room temporarily held two white gators (that can be found in Gator Alley now) in the two main tank viewing exhibits. Later the name was changed to Turtle Canyon where a giant Tortoise and a fly River Turtle were split up in the large exhibit. Thunder, the large snapping turtle, was placed in the second tank. A turtle touch station was also added and still remains. Today; the otters have returned, a Chameleon, monitor, and Python have been added.
