Thanks for taking us on this photographic journey inside Blijdorp's Oceanium building. The huge walk-through tunnel is spacious enough to drive a car through (!!) and I spent 45 minutes inside this aquarium when I visited the zoo in 2019. The attention to detail with some of the exhibits, such as this Madagascar one, is extraordinary.
You're welcome! I visited two times over the course of a few weeks, to make sure I got photo's of everything. I took a total of three journeys through the Oceanium to get as much of it as possible, as I noticed it was quite underrepresented in the ZC gallery.
I think I spent a lot longer than 45 minutes in the Oceanium, but that's partially because I spent quite some time waiting for people to pass so I can get pictures without people in it.
I really love the Oceanium too, especially now that they've finally decided to update the signage. I believe they'll also be renovating part of it, so the mediocre-looking reef tunnel will hopefully look a lot better in the future
I think I've covered all of Blijdorp, even if it took 638 photos to do that...
