Hang on. I recall you tentatively defending a tiled, indoor enclosure no more than half the size of this a while ago.
It's smaller than I'd like - as usual, small cats get ripped off. But it appears to be bigger than any of the small cat cages at Melbourne Zoo, for instance. It's well furnished - the cat has opportunities to hide and climb. It's not the quality you expect from Singapore Zoo, but it seems reasonable.
Ah, I did defend that but I thought seeing as it was only the indoor area it was ok. Not good but not appalling. I just remember this as being tiny for some reason.
Like you said, no biggy
I found this ocelot cage to easily be the worst cage at Singapore Zoo, and as Ash says the photo does indeed make it look larger than it is in reality. Zooish says in another thread that the ocelots and jaguars may be moved in the future to either the Night Safari or the in-preparation river zoo (forget its name) where hopefully they would get better accommodation. I reckon if the ocelots did get moved out then the cage may make a good aviary or a cage for marmosets or something.
