Is this zoo worth visiting on my vacation

Despite every square foot of the zoo looking slightly outdated and without having a single rare, star attracted species, I still enjoy this zoo each time I go. The Mahler Family Aviary is the greatest bird house I've ever walked in and the predator and prey theming never get old.

Thanks Moebelle money is going to be tight this summer we are going to St Louis Zoo and Kansas Zoo and back to Columbus.

You don't consider bonobos rare?

I decided to give the zoo a chance to check true status on my claim that the zoo doesn't have a single rare species. So I made a list that shows animals they display that can only be found in few zoos.
-Blue Ground Dove
-White-thorated Laughing Thrush
-Crimson-backed Tanager
-Green Heron
-American Oystercatcher
-Egyptian Plover
-Micronesian Kingfisher
-Laysan Duck
-Pale-mandibled Aracari
-Whooping Crane
-Bonobo
-Wattled Curassow
-Burbot
-Canary Rockfish
-California Sheephead
-Garibaldi
-Northern Wolffish
-Malagasy Giant Chameleon
-Dwarf Siren
-Grey-bellied Douroucouli
-Senegal Bushbaby
-Mule Deer
-Baird's Tapir

I can't help but notice that most of the rare species found only in a few zoos that Milwaukee has are in the bird aviary, which I agree, is definitely one of the top 3 bird houses in the nation.

@Wild wolverine: I agree with you about the Aviary; definitely one of the better ones I've seen. I actually it's the best exhibit Milwaukee has to offer (in terms of exhibit quality).

@Moebelle: I think you can add pottos to the list. Milwaukee has a single female, but based on a Cincinnati Zoo blog I read, they're also held in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Franklin Park, and Henry Doorly.
