The Safari Africa section of ZooTampa is arguably the best part of the zoo, although it is particularly annoying that visitors have to backtrack and this section isn't a closed loop. Do visitors still walk past the pygmy hippos and okapis and then have to return to the African entrance via the same path?
@snowleopard From what I experienced, it begins in the plaza (a little ahead of this entrance), the path takes you through the savanna, into the Ituri forest, passes the hogs and back into the plaza - completing the loop. There's also exhibits for blue duikers and a wattled crane by the exit. Guessing it wasn't always like that.
