August 2008. Black bear/red fox exhibit, and easily one of the best of its kind. The elk yard is on the left of the bears and foxes.

The elk yard at the far left is large but average in quality, but the black bear/red fox enclosure is huge and comes with lots of trees, a large pond and space galore for the 3 bears and elusive foxes.

Hey scott, do you know if the bears could climb some of the tall trees in the enclosure?

I'm almost positive that many of the trees had no hotwire on them at all, which makes this exhibit even better!

I think this exhibit is way better than Knoxville Zoo's Black Bear exhibit. Only if they would put more dead fall all over the exhibit so the bears could use the whole exhibit.

I like Knoxville Zoo's black bear exhibit but I agree with you on the Oklahoma City Zoo's huge bear enclosure. A bit more fallen trees scattered around the habitat would perhaps encourage the bears to explore every little part of their home. Also, I love the idea that there are also red foxes in there, even though I didn't see any on my visit.

This looks miles better that Knoxville's Black Bear Falls. Perhaps this is the best Black Bear exhibit in the U.S.
