August 2008. This huge exhibit is extremely similar to all of the other enclosures on "Wild Dog Drive".

What are the species of canines that the zoo displays in "Wild Dog Drive"?

Spotted hyenas, african wild dogs, bush dogs, maned wolfs, black-backed jackals, bat-eared foxes, mexican gray wolves...and cheetahs. This section of the zoo has many older, 1970's enclosures, but it is a terrific collection and the habitats are huge. One of the many reasons why the zoo made my top ten list.

All of the exhibits at this zoo seem incredibly large. How commendable.

That's one of the reasons why I ranked it in my North American top 10 list, as most of the exhibits are spacious and naturalistic.
