I have found a few more old zoo photographs from my childhood in another photo album (see earlier uploads in the Borås and Kolmården galleries). The pictures in this album were dated so I know when they were taken.
Here is a series of pictures from Borås Zoo, taken in 1968.
Here we see the weak spot of the zoo, today as well as 45 years ago. The small islands for Great Apes. You actually see all three of these islands in this picture. Much better furnished today, of course, but still not good. I hope this is the priority no 1 for Borås Zoo: improve the conditions for the apes!
